Signol under 9
Bears

Welcome to the Signol Under 9 Bears' official page! As proud competitors in Division 1 of the East Manchester Junior Football League, our team is committed to helping young players develop their football skills and build a love for the game. We emphasize teamwork, personal growth, and confidence on and off the pitch. The Bears are all about creating a supportive environment where every player has the opportunity to grow, learn, and have fun while playing the beautiful game.
Manager: Paul

Football has always been a big part of my life. As a child, I played for Signol throughout the 1990s, so when it came time for my two boys to start their own football journeys, there was only ever one club for them.
My passion for the game has kept me involved in various roles over the years. After my time at Signol, I played open-age football for a local club, where I also took on the role of club secretary for several years. In my twenties, I played for my works team and was proud to be selected to represent the national team on multiple occasions.
Being part of the Signol family once again is something I truly enjoy. Watching the team grow—not just in their footballing skills and understanding of the game but also in the friendships they build—makes managing the Under 8s Bears incredibly rewarding
Assistant Manager: Alex
A dad of two boys and a former Signol junior player that played from U6 through to U17s and earned a long service award when we eventually finished playing. I started helping Paul with the team at U7s, and it’s been great to help out where I can! We have a great group of lads with some real talent on the team, and it’s great to see them all developing week in, week out, and building in confidence.

Sponsorship:
We are incredibly grateful to All Things Nice for their generous sponsorship of our Under 9 Bears football team. Their support has made a huge difference—helping us provide new kits, equipment, and unforgettable experiences for our young players.

It’s thanks to community champions like All Things Nice that we can continue to nurture talent, teamwork, and a love for the game. From all the players, coaches, and families involved, thank you for being such an important part of our journey!
