Welcome to the Signol Under 8 Sharks' official page! Competing in Division 2 of the East Manchester Junior Football League, our team is all about nurturing young talent and encouraging a love for football. We focus on building essential skills, fostering strong teamwork, and instilling confidence in every player. The Sharks are more than just a team – we’re a community where players can learn, grow, and enjoy the game in a fun and supportive environment.

I'm a solicitor and I live in Romiley.

As a former Ashton United Juniors player, football has always been a big part of my life. Now, as a manager of Signol Sharks, I love helping the team develop their skills, confidence and teamwork alongside Dave. My son Douglas plays for the team and its been incredibly rewarding to watch all the boys grow together-not just as players, but as great friends. I'm proud to be part of their journey and excited to see what the future holds for the team.

I have a background in finance, which allows me to bring an analytical perspective to my role as a coach. Raised as an Everton supporter and with a childhood spent playing ice hockey, my passion for sport has always been strong. As a proud father of two sons who share my love for football, I’ve seen first-hand how grassroots football fosters confidence and resilience in young players. Inspired by these experiences, I joined the Signol Coaching Team to coach the Under 8s, where I’m excited to help develop young players both on and off the pitch.
Achievements:
In the season of 24/25 the Sharks won all games in division 2 apart from 2 draws.
Won the division 2 cup
Promoted to division 1 at the beginning of this new season
