U9 Bears Runners Up

Signol Athletic Under 9 Bears took part in the Stockport Georgians Football Club tournament on the morning of Saturday 16th May.

some strong performances in the group stage saw the boys progress to the knockout rounds.

a comfortable 2-0 win in the QF before coming back from a goal down to secure a 2-1 SF win and we were on to the final.

despite being the better team and creating more chances the final finished 0-0 and went to penalties.

unfortunately it wasn't to be and the boys narrowly lost out 2-3.

super proud of the team to reach the final and it feels like tournament success and winners medals are just around the corner.
